Term 1 e-learning After our second workshop with David and the staff training led by Tamara and other teachers I was inspired and keen to get onto my class wiki page. It was great that capable teachers were happy to spend time teaching others. I've also spent lots of time teaching myself (lots of trial and error) how to do things on it and have added pages and some links. This week I managed to load on a heap of photos from our trip! I can say I've learnt a heap about wiki's already. I am trying to use the laptops regularly in class but these are hard to get hold of as they are heavily booked and they do not always go. My two class computers are very slow and therefore limit use in class. My next goal is to get more things on the wiki page so the children can use it more often (links to games, samples of writing, making it fancy, etc). The children enjoyed accessing it and loved seeing the photos from our trips. I also want to include computers more during the day. The children enjoyed typing in answers to Answer Garden and were keen to help each other. We have also been using our digital camera and flip camera a lot. We have just started using the Easi-Speak microphone. The children have enjoyed doing some writing on the Activboard and are getting used to how this work. There is still lots more e-learning I need to do but a start has been made....
